Pictech is based in Johannesburg & was formed in 1986 to market HITACHI Industrial & Commercial airconditioning. Since then Pictech has expanded into Data Centres & Process Cooling. In 2010 an agreement was reached with LENNOX INTERNATIONAL Inc. to offer their products for the retail & data processing sectors of the market.

The company was the first to introduce the screw compressor to South Africa. The HITACHI SRM screw compressor was the only unit of its type on the market. After training in Japan Pictech established a compressor overhaul line which is still in use today. We are the only suppliers of genuine HITACHI parts & one of the few distributers to overhaul their own compressors.
